This hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the city, near all the important sites and right across from a beautiful park. the lobby is filled with originality and authenticity. the staff is attentive and friendly, providing fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast. the rooms have tall ceilings and are cozy.
The exercise room could be expanded for more space.

The hotel is nice but a bit far away from tourist area, we like to be near tapas, small shops. Good hotel for business travel

Location, architecture, design, cleanliness
May be more staff would be necessary at the reception

The building is a former palatial home of a wealthy family. The common areas retain this beautiful style. The rooms are contemporary and very clean with nice bathroom products.
Our room view was poor. It was inner facing to a courtyard. Since we were there for 3 nights we would have liked a view of the park. This was requested but not accommodated. Overall the staff were very nice - especially Juan the concierge. We would stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful Palace Hotel Near the Park
Stayed at a stunning palace hotel during my city trip. This historic building is incredibly beautiful and has all the modern amenities you need on your trip. The hotel is on a great location, just a short walk to the park, with plenty of beautiful scenery and historic sites nearby. My room was very comfortable with a large bathroom, complimentary Wi-Fi, and enough space to spread out. The staff at this hotel are outstanding, offering fantastic customer service whenever I needed something.
The only negative point I would mention is the continental breakfast selection which was limited to cold cuts and bakery items. But if you are a Marriott member, you can choose what to get for breakfast from the menu.

Great location, staff very helpful and warm, nice breakfast and bar. Complimentary minibar on the rooms. Would definitely recommend.
Because its an old palace, sometimes there was bad smell coming from the sewer. there were two complimentary bikes (very nice), but one flat tire took three days to repair.

The hotel is clean and well appointed. There were ample facilities (restaurants, pools, etc.)
It was fairly empty, so many of the facilities downstairs (pub, screening room, etc.) were not open. The entire downstairs was dark. It just seemed so empty and lonely

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel in the Retiro area, right across from a beautiful park. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast with a large variety of hot preparations done at the minute. The location was convenient with easy access to transportation.
Nothing all good.

This venue fulfilled all our luxurious needs. the elegant, spacious room had floor-to-ceiling windows, and impeccable amenities. the staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional, including arranging private facilities. the excellent restaurant and bar area offered a wide food selection. the hotel was a prime location for spas, wellness centres and exclusive shopping experiences.
the only minor issue was the noise level from passing traffic on the street outside our room, which was especially noticeable at night.

Spent my easter break at a gorgeous, historical hotel, with spacious and modern rooms. the breakfast room served high-quality and fresh ingredients. It was the perfect location, situated right opposite a peaceful park, great for morning runs. the front desk staff were efficient with arranging all of my tours and were a welcoming bunch.
